Verisure, operating under two brand names (Securitas Direct & Verisure) is seeking a talented, innovative, passionate Platform Technical Lead. The role will part of a growing and talented Technology team and will report directly to the Manager of Technical Platform.
In Verisure, we’re constantly developing new technology to better protect our customers. Our highly skilled and experienced product teams work with urgency and passion when researching and developing new ways to keep our customers safe.

Strategic context and Value proposition

  • Technology plays an important role in our value creation. Our team is responsible for providing the Technical Platform that our developers use to build, deploy, release, and run their software
  • This is a critical role that will help the Technology organization in the evolution of our current technology platform, fostering our developer’s autonomy, keeping scalability, security, quality, and reliability in mind
  • As the Platform Technical Lead, you will be responsible, in collaboration with the Global Product Owner of the team, of defining the technical vision and roadmap of the platform. At the same time, you’ll lead a team of Technical Leads working on different technical domains

Responsibilities will include

  • Support Global Product Owner and Solution Architects in how to evolve the platform from a technical perspective
  • Architect, design and implement the platform as a service (PaaS) evolution, taking into account legacy platforms, and getting a better experience for our developers
  • Lead, support and guide technical leads of the technical platform, ensuring best practices and solutions are considered
  • Train and teach in the best ways of building software and platforms, following devops principles, and operating them, following a SRE approach

Location
Working under a Hybrid Model, you’ll work from home and at our Madrid offices.

Experiences and Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Master/ B.A in Computer Engineering
  • Fluent level of English
  • 10 years of probable experience on IT
  • Experience working with Platform as a Service solutions, Microservices, and Events & Services oriented architectures
  • Solid understanding of design practices and system architecture, considering implications and trade-offs of reliability, scalability, security, operation costs, adoption path recruitments
  • Knowledge of development methodologies and best practices, control version tools, integration and continuous delivery, and Infrastructure as Code approach
  • Take end-to-end ownership of shaping solutions, making proofs of concept, and defining right architectural approach based on the needs of the organization

Will be a plus

  • Public/private cloud experience
  • Infrastructure as a Service knowledge
  • Experience in Agile Frameworks
