    HackMadrid%27<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    Hi Daniel! Please tell us about your tech community<\/span>, its members and objectives.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    HackMadrid%27 is a community<\/span> around hacking culture<\/span>. We are 3000 members in Meetup<\/a>, and 800 members in the IRC<\/span>. Our goals<\/span> are to spread the existing problems around privacy<\/span> and anonymity<\/span>. We also conduct workshops on programming, pentesting<\/span>, social<\/span> engineering<\/span>, Osint, cryptography<\/span> and Blockchain<\/span>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Being a Tech Community Manager<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    What is it like being a tech community<\/span> manager<\/span> in your country? What is the tech scene in your country?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Fundamentally we are a team<\/a>, with distributed and decentralized tasks, we avoid criteria such as the concept of “benevolent dictator”. The technological scenario in Madrid<\/a> is strong and committed to technological objectives<\/span> and their cultural consequences.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    What were the biggest problems you’ve had to overcome and how have you done this?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    The most difficult thing is achieving long-term commitment from members. To overcome this, we tried to propose some smart activities. We also support free software<\/span> and share knowledge among our members.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Diversity in Tech Communities<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    Do you encourage Diversity in your tech community<\/span>, and during your meetups? How important is it to have a code of conduct<\/span>? Have you ever had to apply it?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Our community<\/span> does not make any kind of discrimination. Our code of conduct<\/span> is based on freedom and respect.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Why and how to become a Community Manager<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    Why did you decide to become a community<\/span> manager<\/span>, and what is the most valuable thing you got in return? How do you balance your work time and personal life<\/span> with being a community<\/span> manager<\/span>?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    I was one of the founders of the HackMadrid%27 community<\/span>, but always encouraging the participation of all members who wanted to work for the group. I maintain a balanced division of my time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    What skills and experience<\/span> does a tech community<\/span> manager<\/span> need? What is the secret to building relationships<\/span> in a tech community<\/span>, and how do you maintain these relationships<\/span>? <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    True communities<\/span> are non-profit<\/span>. They are based on the enthusiasm<\/span> to share knowledge<\/span>, experiment<\/span> with it, have a curious and transgressive attitude.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    What do you consider the best metrics for evaluating the success of a tech community<\/span>?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    If the community<\/span> grows in quantity and quality, everything is going well.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    What are the most important tools<\/span> of the trade, for you? <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    We are a non-profit<\/span> community<\/span>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    What books, articles, videos, experts and conferences would you suggest to other tech community<\/span> managers?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    There are no recipes, you have to experiment<\/span>, work as a team<\/span> and be flexible and innovative enough.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
