A little over a month ago, Codemotion Madrid 2026 took place, and we can confirm something: AI-driven development will be more present than ever.
A good example of this is the talk we are presenting below. “From Zero to AIHero With Vibe Coding” brought together three different profiles who shared their own perspectives on how AI is changing their roles. We heard from Eduardo Ramos, DevOps & Cloud Engineer, Daniel Puig, Software Architect, and César Puebla, Tech Lead. All of them work at NN Digital Hub, internal technology hub delivering top-notch products and services for NN Group and an innovative company that is embracing the era of vibe coding with curiosity.
Context of the talk
At this point, and after more than five turbulent years, we can safely say it: application programming will never be the same again. The rise of generative artificial intelligence has radically transformed the way development teams conceive, design, and build software.
According to a Pragmatic Summit study, 93% of developers use AI assistants in their day-to-day work, and more than half state that these tools already generate a significant portion of the code that reaches production. Many developers even report that they now write very little code themselves.
The new debate: how to maximize the benefits of AI while reducing its risks
Therefore, the current debate is no longer about whether AI will replace developers, but rather about how developers must evolve to work alongside it effectively.
The questions are increasingly focused on how best to use AI to maximize productivity, how to maintain control over the quality of the generated code, and, above all, how to preserve the technical judgment and architectural vision that distinguish a good software engineer from one who simply accepts whatever the machine produces without questioning it.
The challenge now is how to design new workflows that maximize the benefits offered by AI while minimizing the risks it presents..
And all of this while keeping human judgment at the center of operations, which remains—today more than ever—the true differentiator between building high-quality software and simply accumulating lines of code generated automatically.
The talk
From Zero to AIHero With Vibe Coding” was not a typical session. Eduardo Ramos, Daniel Puig, and César Puebla took the stage to offer something rarely seen at a technical event: three real, distinct, and complementary perspectives on how vibe coding is reshaping their day-to-day work.
A technical lead, an architect, and a DevOps engineer explained how they are using AI within their roles and teams, as well as the critical points for getting the most out of these tools without losing the technical rigor required by each discipline. They also discussed about moving from vibe-coding to vibe-engineering, SDD, and practical examples with GitHub Copilot and Spec-kit.
The session was highly hands-on and honest: it included real-world examples, lessons learned directly from production, and a candid conversation about what is actually happening inside development teams when AI enters the picture—beyond the hype and headlines.
If you work in technology and want to understand how to adapt your role to this new reality without losing the technical judgment that defines you as a professional, don’t miss this talk on our YouTube channel.
